The Maintenance Buyer is responsible for inventory control and managing / controlling the departments' inventory and the purchasing workflow from requisition through receipt for all purchases. Key responsibilities include :

• Procurement & Sourcing
• Identify and purchase maintenance parts, tools, and supplies for production equipment and facility upkeep.
• Source vendors and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and warranties.
• Maintain relationships with preferred suppliers and evaluate new vendors.
• Inventory Management
• Monitor stock levels of critical spare parts and reorder as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory using CMMS or ERP systems.
• Implement inventory control strategies to reduce downtime and avoid overstocking.
• Ensure all purchased items meet food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA).
• Maintain compliant documentation for audits, including purchase orders, invoices, and certifications.
• Collaborate with QA and maintenance teams to ensure parts meet operational requirements.

Qualifications and skills :

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $37.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
