  • Protestant Music Director.

Job Location :

  • Naval Station Great Lakes, IL.

Job Type:

  • Part Time Job.

Schedule :

  • Protestant Music Director should conduct music for special services of worship: 10 units.

Protestant Music Director should play music for special Command Services:

  • 5 units.

Protestant Music Director should lead volunteer choirs in both Chapels:

  • 104 units.

Qualifications:

  • Protestant Music Director should have a clear understanding of Navy organization and the pluralistic ministry requirements that affect the use of Chapel facilities and staff.
  • Protestant Music Director should have at least two years of piano accompanist and worship musical leadership in a contemporary Christian church.

Duties:

  • Protestant Music Director should possess the ability to develop rapport, and promote teambuilding within the Protestant volunteer choirs, praise teams, and other choral groups.
  • Protestant Music Director should notify the Command Chaplain (or Duty Chaplain) by telephone and email between 2-3 hours ahead of scheduled time when unable to perform services due to illness, inclement weather, or emergencies.
  • Protestant Music Director should provide a pre-approved substitute when unable to perform the services required.
  • Command Chaplain must be notified of planned substitutions two weeks in advance of arranged absences (vacations and holidays).
  • The candidate should arrive for all services no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the service.

Protestant Music Director should conduct music for special services of worship:
