Youth Specialist, Middle School Academies

Overview

Youth Specialist, Middle School Academies at YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg. The YMCA is seeking energetic and dedicated child care Youth Specialists to provide direct supervision in a safe, fun and educational environment for all Middle School Academy participants. Our Leaders provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values : honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Schedule

Before-school hours : 7 : 00am - 9 : 30am.

After-school hours : 3 : 30pm - 6 : 00pm.

Flexible schedules may consist of before school, after school, or a combination of both.

Essential Functions

• Supervises an assigned group of children to ensure safety
• Nurtures children and provides academic growth opportunities that support the school curriculum
• Engages children by facilitating program activities that are designed to enrich their lives
• Establishes a positive rapport with children, parents, and staff while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
