Plan and coordinate quality assurance programs in jewelry manufacturing and wholesale distribution company. Formulate quality control policies and stop production if serious product defects are present. Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Verify that in-process samples and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards. Analyze production samples to evaluate quality. Evaluate robust testing protocols, utilizing techniques such as ICP and XRF. Communicate with quality control teams to facilitate the definition of clear quality objectives and standards that harmonize with both organizational goals and industry benchmarks. Confer with production and design teams to drive continuous improvement. Create and implement inspections to identify and address any defects, discrepancies, or inconsistencies in craftsmanship, materials, and finishing. Bachelor's degree in chemistry, or industrial engineering or material engineering. 5 years of experience in the job or as a chemist. 40 hrs / wk, $183,290 / yr.
