Staff Program Manager, Manufacturing Engineering
Execute strategies to transition products from development through prototyping to commercial manufacturing, culminating in the launch of a stable and robust production line. Duties include :
- Guide cross-functional program planning and execution for manufacturing process development and scaling for battery production; maintain program documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for manufacturing engineering projects, indicating critical path and key decision milestones while ensuring alignment with company production goals.
- Ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and high product quality in collaboration with product design, process engineering, and quality teams.
- Optimize production efficiency and reduce waste using lean manufacturing principles and through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed road maps, timelines, and deliverables.
- Responsible for new production line installations, interfacing with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to define requirements, resolve issues, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Ensure program compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment and report to senior leadership and stakeholders on program performance, using data-driven metrics and regular updates to facilitate decision-making.
Position Requirements : A Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a manufacturing engineer-related occupation. Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently :
5 years of experience guiding complex, cross-functional projects from concept through execution, delivering results on time and within budget.5 years of experience applying program management methodologies, including Agile, Stage-Gate, and hybrid frameworks.5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, pilot-scale production, and R&D integration, supporting both new product introduction and process optimization, with a strong focus on scalability.5 years of experience liaising with external engineering and manufacturing vendors, including sourcing and technical alignment.5 years of experience presenting and explaining orally and in writing complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.5 years of experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma practices to enhance quality and efficiency.Job site : 26 Iron Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
