Neuro RN Job Details

Location : Nashville, TN 37207 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Unit : 3rd Floor, Neuro Med / Surg (20 beds)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Schedule : 3 shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Employment Type : Travel Nursing

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Support : Tech support on all shifts; unit secretary 7a-7p

Documentation : Meditech EMR

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,530 - $1,640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)

BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro or Med / Surg RN experience

Clinical skills : IV starts, wound care, surgical drain maintenance, nasogastric and chest tube care

Strong ability to multitask and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment

Navy scrubs required

Nursing Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, attentive nursing care to neuro and med / surg patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans

Conduct bedside shift reports and build positive relationships with patients and families

Operate clinical equipment : IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, pulse oximeters, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, iMobile technology

Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR

Float to other hospital units as needed, per rotation policy
