The Global Innovation Brand Manager will lead new product development and deployment and be responsible for innovation strategy and communication for Face Care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Co-develop the strategic direction and global innovation pipeline for the business in collaboration with Innovation team. Develop and deploy all aspects of product innovation in a highly cross-functional environment
- Own ideation and concept phase by translating consumer insights and trends into strong product ideas in close collaboration with market research
- Lead execution of innovation projects in close collaboration with R&D, packaging engineering, finance, supply chain, designers and agencies among other business partners to develop new products, claims, and comms from project definition, briefing, and development to execution.
- Proactively identify emerging trends, have strong outside-in mindset with expertise in skin care category, competitive landscape and social conversation
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain and Project Management to ensure new products deliver on growth, revenue and profitability goals
- Deploy innovation to regions; develop product launch toolkits that excite local marketing teams and retailers
- Develop deep understanding of key global markets, with US as lead market.
- Track record of identifying white space opportunities, creating innovation and the ability to translate consumer insights into new product and / or claims is required.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies and communication plans
- Experience in beauty category strongly preferred
- Experience in product innovation highly preferred
- Superior communication, story-telling, project management skills and an ability to influence without authority is required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience leading in a matrix environment and cross-functional teams is required
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand management and innovation. Must have have experience in beauty such as skincare, makeup or haircare. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred.
