Senior Manager, Global Public Relations (Consumer PR) – Bangkok-based
Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the role reports to the Director of Communications. The global communications function is responsible for building and protecting Agoda’s reputation as a trusted and innovative brand with partners and consumers worldwide. The position will be central to making Agoda more impactful as part of an international, results-focused Communications team. Relocation is provided.
What you'll get to do
- Shape and define the PR strategy to elevate Agoda’s visibility in markets across Asia Pacific and beyond
- Manage and develop two direct reports, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to help them achieve their goals
- Manage multi-market agency teams to deliver measurable consumer content
- Ideate scalable content to keep Agoda in the news leveraging a combination of data, product, campaign and corporate news
- Keep a finger on the pulse of breaking news, spotting trends and other editorial / content opportunities for Agoda, what makes the news and how to create that narrative
- Problem solving to develop creative media relations strategies, while also being analytical and measurement driven
- Provide input for the Agoda global team drafting pitches, media briefings, Q&As as well as generating campaign ideas
- Respond to global media enquiries and maintain the Agoda press office
- Manage and counsel stakeholders throughout Agoda who require PR support
What you'll Need to Succeed
Creative thinking and an all-round make-it-happen team attitude8+ years of experience in public relations in traditional and digital teams, ideally in both agency and in-house settings; includes 3+ years managing teams or direct reportsStrong storytelling experience to consumer, corporate and B2B audiencesDemonstrable experience of an integrated approach to PR (content, social media, influencers, media partnerships, etc.)Strong media contacts; solid knowledge of influencers and non-traditional channelsExcellent English writing, editing and proofreading skillsCrisis and issues management experience would be beneficialQuick thinking and ability to spot trends and exploit opportunities to respond quickly to social sentimentProject management capabilities and experience in managing creative and production resourcesExperience working within a matrix organization across multiple markets and influencing internal and external stakeholdersExperience managing and optimizing budgetsAbility to measure quality and impact of content for future improvementEqual Opportunity Employer
