As part of our team, you will play a key role in managing tenant accounts, collections, evictions, and ensuring compliance with all property-related regulations. Our goal is to assist tenants in financial distress while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity in managing property operations.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a background in property management, collections, or accounting, and an ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Tenant Assistance : Help tenants experiencing financial hardship by connecting them with rental assistance and other supportive programs.
- Collections & Delinquencies : Oversee collections, manage delinquent accounts, and follow up on chargebacks, security deposits, and credits.
- Evictions & Legal Proceedings : Coordinate and execute eviction processes, attend attorney meetings, and represent the company in court proceedings as necessary.
- Account Audits & Reporting : Maintain detailed records of tenant accounts, including charges, payments, and balances. Perform account audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Security Deposit Processing : Process and return security deposits in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
- Owner & Property Setup : Assist in setting up new owners and adding new properties into the AppFolio system.
- Record Keeping & Compliance : Ensure that all property-related transactions are accurately documented, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Tenant Communication : Address tenant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a positive relationship with all residents.
- Policy & Procedure Development : Develop, implement, and maintain property management policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Emergency Response : Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating appropriate action as necessary.
- Team Coordination : Collaborate with site managers and office personnel to ensure effective communication regarding delinquency, eviction status, and tenant concerns.
Minimum Qualifications :
Experience : 2+ years of property management experience, with a focus on collections, accounting, or related fields.
Skills :
Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and property management software (AppFolio, Lofty, ShowingTime, FlexMLS).Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Competence in using computers and related technologies.Certifications / Requirements :
High school diploma or GED preferred.Valid driver’s license and corporate-insurable driving record.Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit for extended periods (2+ hours), with occasional standing and walking.Prolonged periods of typing, speaking on the phone, and handling paperwork.Preferred Attributes
