SQL Server Developer

Information Technology - Itasca, IL - Full Time

• Develop Data Automation solutions using ETL tools, such as SAP Data Services Suite and Microsoft SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Create and enhance AITs Transportation Management System integrations by combining disconnected data sources into a unified data source.
• Analyze and resolve issues that impact the speed and quality of data moving into the EDW and associated databases.
• Engage and assist team members in documenting business and technical processes in order to improve the knowledgebase and its retention.
• Utilize AITs EDW and Business Intelligence Suite to provide insight and support new business initiatives.
• Leverage Microsoft SQL Server to build queries and stored procedures, analyze and identify problems with data, and improve associated performance.
• Build Power BI datasets and dashboards that will allow IT staff to monitor various automated processes and their current states.
• Ensure efficient operation of workflows connected to AITs Data Warehouse and reporting platforms
• Assist in evaluating and implementing data management solutions and tools

• Bachelors degree related to IT or comparable field experience required (i.e. Computer Science)
• 7-10 years work experience including :
• 2-3 years' work experience in programming and / or scripting skills
• 2-3 years' work experience in data transformation (ETL)
• 3+ years' experience of writing SQL queries
• QA experience is a plus!
• Web Development Technologies is a plus!
• Knowledge of .NET languages is a plus!
• Strong understanding of automation, streamlining of processes, and data quality
• Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team oriented and self-motivated
