About the Role

As a Staff Product Manager for the Materialize database, you will own a significant portion of the Materialize product. You will drive the development and delivery of Materialize's SQL experience, compute clusters (powered by Timely and Differential Dataflow), and sources & sinks. Your work will span multiple Engineering teams. You'll craft roadmaps that help customers deploy Materialize and expand their use cases, all while staying true to our product principles : trust, scale, and ease. You'll develop deep expertise in our product, our customers, and the broader data market. With that knowledge, you'll help us ship solutions our customers loveand enable our GTM teams and users to clearly understand the value of each new release.

This role sits within our Product organization and reports directly to our CEO. If you're excited about taking on a deeply technical Product role with massive responsibility, we'd love to hear from you!

About You

• You have 8+ years experience working with databases, streaming systems, or other types of data infrastructure
• You love technology, but you also care about the people who use it (our customers!)
• You have a proven history or collaborating with people from every department to ensure solutions drive real business impact
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting deeply technical content to diverse non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to create quickly create compelling demos for new capabilities using LLMs
• You are based in New York and excited about coming to our office (in Astor Place)
• Optional, but nice to have : you have previously been an Engineer who has worked on a related product

Responsibilities

Location : NYC (hybrid, minimum 3 days / week in HQ)

Salary : $253,000 - $300,000 + equity
