Description :

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with established guidelines of nursing practice and relevant regulations.

Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.

Meets unit specific physical demands.

Stands and walks most of the time on duty.

Significant bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance may be required.

High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is present.

Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Utilizes nursing process for patient care for individuals post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.

Demonstrates flexibility in work schedules and shifts per patient care requirements.

Maintains accountability for the provision of patient care.
