The Planet Group is seeking a  Senior Product Designer   to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on a 2-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a remote schedule.

Senior Product Designer Responsibilities

  • Drive projects that help new and less experienced users onboard, become engaged, and form lasting habits with the product
  • Lead design projects across the user activation funnel — from onboarding, to user education, to early engagement
  • Work closely with PMs, engineers, researchers, and data analysts to identify growth opportunities and design experiments to drive key metrics
  • Design intuitive, scalable onboarding flows, feature introductions, and habit-building mechanisms that delight users and support long-term retention
  • Create end-to-end user journeys, high-fidelity visuals, and prototypes—ensuring every touchpoint feels cohesive and brand-aligned
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to iterate and refine your work
  • Present your work clearly and advocate for user-centered, growth-driven solutions across the org

Senior Product Designer Qualifications

  • Strong ability to define the end-to-end user journey, a passion for education and habit-building, and a deep commitment to high visual craft
  • 5+ years’ experience in product design, with a strong track record designing for onboarding, habit-building, or user education in consumer product environments (growth team experience is a plus)
  • Experience defining and executing end-to-end UX for complex flows, not just individual screens, for mobile and web platforms
  • Excellent visual craft—portfolio shows crisp UI, clear hierarchy, and thoughtful use of animation and micro-interactions
  • Familiarity with user education models and principles, especially those that help users find value fast and form new habits
  • Passion for learning via data (user research, experimentation, A / B tests) and iterating quickly
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Mastery of modern design tools (e.g., Figma), strong prototyping skills, and experience handing off to engineering
  • Prior experience on a product-led growth team or with consumer onboarding funnels
  • Familiarity with applying behavioral science to design frameworks
  • Experience working on globalized products
