Operations Business Support Leader
Job Summary : This leader will manage a dedicated team responsible for business support, vendor management, research, and purchasing for both the Operations business. This role is essential for supporting and enhancing the day-to-day operations and growth of our business and development of efficient and collaborative practices.
Major Responsibilities :
- Lead the business support team in areas such as procurement, supply chain, and vendor management.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency, as well as work collaboratively and cross-functionally to support the larger business.
- Support leadership with assistance in reporting and forecasting related to vendor management and purchasing, in strong partnership with our Finance teams; Assist in managing vendor planning, partnerships, payments, and contract related questions
- Support distribution, Sales, Inventory Control, etc. leaders in the management of Medline specialty services for products. Ensure that specialty services meet customer needs and market demands.
- Support ensuring compliance with product safety, storage, packaging, etc. in facilities; Support leadership in researching trends, emerging opportunities, and contribute insights on best prices and materials for products in the warehouses
- Responsible for the development and implementation of preventive and predictive purchasing and research processes, as well as general vendor management for various programs and technologies.
- Establishing a standard process for daily execution of administrative tasks, urgent and emergency projects ensuring the operations leaders are supported in the most efficient and effective manner
Minimum Job Requirements :
Education - Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related fieldWork Experience - Minimum of 5 years experience in related field and at least 2 years of management experienceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Proven ability to work in a cross-functional capacity, delivering results through collaborationStrong financial acumen and understanding of budget management.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Knowledge of the healthcare industry and specialty product markets.Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic work environments.Preferred Job Requirements :
Education - MBA or advanced degree preferredRegulatory knowledge and compliance experience is advantageousThe anticipated salary range for this position :
$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and / or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
