Finance Analyst

The Product Support Sub Mission Area in the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems Mission Area has an exciting opportunity for an early in career Finance Analyst to manage a challenging external contract as well as responsibility for upcoming program(s). This position is an integral part of a business area portfolio of programs that currently supports external and inter-company contract related efforts. The candidate will work closely with the External Customer, Program Manager, field engineers, and functional groups including Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, etc. This position may include a gamut of finance responsibilities such as leading and executing program controls, baseline development, Estimate at Completion (EACs), Gate 4's, internal customer negotiations, and financial planning requirements including monthly forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), and Risk and Opportunity (R&O) administration. The Finance Analyst will also ensure the team adheres to all government, internal Raytheon/RTX, and IOT policies and internal controls.

This position is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work can be done out of any of the following locations: Andover/Tewksbury, MA, McKinney, TX, El Segundo, CA. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Support a complex multi-year program that requires a detail oriented individual with excellent communication skills capable of tracking multiple activities from inception to completion
  • Be exposed to many different real world business tools such as the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, AOP/LRP preparation using the RPLAN system, and Evolve
  • Utilize SAP APEX, including Business Warehouse and Analysis for Office (AO) to provide technical analysis for financial reporting of various program funding profiles, sales outlooks, billing projections, and variance analysis.
  • Be an integrated part of a fast-paced finance team, where multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline & 2 years of related experience in Finance
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and/or variance analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills, including small and/or large audiences
  • Experience with collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of SAP/APEX/PRISM
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification
  • Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense contracts and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, etc)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to flexibly work in a fast-paced changing environment and manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn & utilize management systems and tools
  • Independent and self-motivated with minimal supervision required; detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively & work with multiple levels of management as well as external customer representatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
