About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU

License : Active nursing license required upon submission

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Experience in arterial line management
• Ability to assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP
• Knowledge in care of ventilated patients
• Competence in central line care and management
• Familiarity with continuous IV sedation
• Skill in interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience in managing dysrhythmias
• Understanding of isolation precautions and use of PPE
• Capacity to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure
• Proficiency in suctioning (both ETT and NT)
• Capability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience in ventilator management

Description :

This position requires an RN with experience in a trauma ICU setting.

The shift is scheduled for 3 nights per week from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM.

Clinicians are required to float within their scope to meet facility needs.

Floating will occur to various ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU.

If necessary, ICU RNs may be asked to float to medical-surgical units.

Every other weekend commitment is required, amounting to two weekends per month.

Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days.

Time off requests on weekends and holidays are not permitted.

This role requires responsiveness to staffing needs, and refusal to float may lead to contract cancellation.

All clinicians must comply with the facility’s floating policy and time-off regulations.
