About The Information Technology Department :

The Information Technology (IT) Division works collaboratively with all PUCO departments to identify, procure, and support information technology solutions necessary to perform the mission critical business functions of the PUCO.

IT subject matter experts : maintain more than 50 business applications : plan, design, build and deploy new IT solutions;

provide support for phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and printers; maintain production systems; and manage PUCO’s websites and webcasting activities.

In addition, the IT division coordinates infrastructure support and IT security services with the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

What You'll Do :

Key primary duties for the position as an Information Technology Consultant 3 are as follow :

• Provide management and oversight for the Project Management and Strategic Planning sections of the PUCO IT department
• Setting direction for understanding and documenting business processes for the agency
• Assure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Critical to guarantee that all governance and operational processes for the introduction of automations are followed
• Key management in working with the agency Chief Information Officer (CIO) to set and achieve goals for internal business process automation, State of Ohio Enterprise initiatives, and overall IT improvements.

Report in location : 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43215, Franklin County.

Our organization currently follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office as needed and based on operational need.

Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program coursework in information technology, electrical engineering or telecommunications;

5 yrs. exp. in information systems analysis, design & operations; 18 mos. exp. in project / program management; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in budgeting.

• Or 12 mos. exp. as Information Technology Consultant 2, 64162.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
