The purpose of the Sr. Merchandise Payables Analyst - Regulated Beverages position is to:
- provide precise accounting for regulated beverage suppliers (beer, wine and liquor) through negotiation, audit, approval and verification of various supporting documents which also includes ensuring Publix receives all deals/discounts due (like quantity deals)
- be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) by providing consulting for all stores and warehouses on the state laws and processes for regulated beverages (ensure that Publix does not lose their regulated beverage licenses)
- prepare General Ledger (GL) account analysis, miscellaneous reporting, and project involvement for all regulated beverage
- provide reconciliation of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to the General Ledger (GL) for all regulated beverages
