Quality Engineer

Join a dynamic team within the Automotive Market Quality division as a Quality Engineer. This role focuses on conducting activities to support the achievement of department performance metrics and targets, implementing countermeasures when necessary to ensure departmental success.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis of failed warranty parts and subject components and vehicles to test conditions to identify failures and simulate possible causes and influences.

Identify warranty problems related to design, manufacturing, or sales / service influences, promote and carry out investigations, and determine root causes.

Perform technical writing, documentation, and reporting, and present summaries to quality management.

Communicate with suppliers, design, and service teams to support problem investigation and resolution.

Work with responsible departments and suppliers to facilitate appropriate problem containment.

Support cost recovery efforts and negotiations by examining warranty data and associated analysis records meaningfully.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical) or equivalent related work experience.

0-6 years of experience based on education.

Experience in the automotive industry.

Ability to investigate technical problems, derive conclusions from observations and data, and analytically approach root causes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Co-Op experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, transmission assembly, automotive repair, or automotive maintenance.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.00 / hr.
