Responsibilities :
- As a Business Function Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the analysis and design of new function business processes. Your role will involve identifying and defining detailed requirements while serving as a liaison to the business community. You will participate in user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions. Additionally, you will provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is required. Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow Flow Designer is recommended.
Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Develop process maps and documentation to illustrate current and future state business processes.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are translated into functional specifications.
Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to validate requirements and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Mentor junior team members and share best practices to enhance team performance."
Key Responsibilities
Perform a technical assessment of the current CMDB, discovery tools, integrations, and data quality.Define the technical architecture for aligning CMDB with CSDM standards.Review and recommend improvements for CI class structures, attributes, and relationships.Define and evaluate integration approaches (Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph Connectors, external sources).Assess and recommend use of reconciliation (IRE), normalization, and data certification frameworks.Translate functional design into ServiceNow platform configuration and data models.Provide technical governance recommendations for security, ACLs, and CI ownership.Develop a high-level technical roadmap for CSDM adoption and CMDB optimization.Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 8 10 years IT architecture / ITOM experience, with at least 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow CMDB and integrations.Proven expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Integration Hub, and data quality frameworks.Strong knowledge of CSDM alignment and ServiceNow data model design.Hands-on experience integrating CMDB with tools such as SCCM, Azure, AWS, VMware, or monitoring platforms.Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performing CMDB technical architectures.Strong documentation and advisory skills to present technical findings to business and IT stakeholders.Key skills : Service now, CSDM, CMDB, ITOM, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping
