CNC Programmer

Job Description

There is an open position for a CNC Programmer with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark.

General Summary :

The CNC Programmer is responsible for designing fixtures and programming precision-machined parts. The position would be responsible for multiple CNC machines including 8 and 11 axis Swiss machines, Dual spindle lathes with live tooling, and 5 axis and 3-1 / 2 axis Mills. Parts are smaller in size, 12" max. Most runs are short, 10 to 200 pieces.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Complete fixture design using SolidWorks software.
• Complete part programs using Esprit software.
• Identifying tools needed with complete tool list and setup sheet.
• Working at the machine with machinists to run first piece and debug issues.
• Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.
• Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece matls such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium and Torlon.
• Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.
• Other similar or related duties as required.

Compensation :

Salary Range : $80,000 - $120,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
