Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is proactively recruiting Staff Accountants in the Denver Metro Area for upcoming job opportunities with our clients. These opportunities may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire. Typical compensation is between $60,000 and $75,000 annually or the hourly rate equivalents. If the role is temporary or temp-to-hire, you will be able to sign up for LHH's benefits programs (details below).

Typical Responsibilities :

  • Reviewing financial statements
  • Reconciling accounts and balance sheets
  • Making journal entries
  • Assisting with the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes
  • Processing AP, AR, and payroll
  • Running financial reports
  • Preparing for internal and external audits
  • Preparing and filing tax returns
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • All other related tasks as required

Typical Qualifications :

  • At least two years of recent, relevant experience in a similar accounting role
  • Previous experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel : VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.

    • Typical Compensation :

  • Annual salary between $60,000 and $75,000 or the hourly rate equivalents
