Lot Operations Specialist II
The Lot Operations Specialist II at Cox Automotive plays a crucial role in organizing and maintaining the placement of vehicles within designated zones or move areas, adhering to the standards established by lot operations leadership. This position requires daily utilization of information from supervisors and Lot Ops dashboards to make informed decisions regarding vehicle staging in assigned areas. The specialist is responsible for continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety and ensure the efficient movement of vehicles in and out of their designated zones. In this role, the specialist will move vehicles and stage them safely to their proper work destinations, aiming to eliminate multiple drop-off points and ensure full loads. They will confirm that all vehicles are operable, engaging service and tow teams when inoperable vehicles are identified. Additionally, the specialist will label vehicles with sale and routing labels to maintain accurate movements, thereby reducing the need for crew leaders to print and label staged units before transport. Effective communication with crew leaders and managers regarding inventory levels is essential, as the specialist will prioritize tasks based on the current status of the move area. The role also involves setting an example by championing Cox / Manheim values, ensuring respectful treatment of all employees, and implementing company policies related to employee and customer conduct. The specialist will be a visible representation of Manheim's safety commitment, following all safety and health procedures and modeling appropriate behaviors. Other duties may be assigned by management, and the specialist may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
