The Department of Visual and Media Arts at Emerson College seeks applications for an affiliated (part-time) instructor in Fall 2024 (September 4th to December 17th) to teach the following course in the area of art history :
VM105 Introduction to Visual Art.
Investigates the visual language of communication shared among all of the visual arts, emphasizing visual analysis, understanding of materials, the history of style and techniques, and the functions and meanings of art in its variedmanifestations.
Provides a foundation for subsequent studies in the visual and media arts.
Applicants should have an academic background in art history on the graduate level, and experience teaching. Advanced Ph.
