Position Summary

Bench Techs performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at established company repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues. May communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair, but generally without direct client contact.

Diagnosis And Repair :

• Performs both repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on the terminal.
• Responsible for ensuring that all equipment repaired at the bench is completely reliable and all upgrades (ECO's) are completed. The terminal is made to look as 'like new' as feasible. Repairs are affected to a level set by guidelines.
• Some sub assemblies are repaired locally while others are sent to repair depots that specialize in the repair of that sub assembly.
