Maintenance Mechanic

Summary : Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment : motors, controls, circuit boards, pneumatics, hydraulics, production machines, and any production or service-related components by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting / Diagnosing malfunctioning electrical components / devices such as motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken components, wires and cables as needed.
• Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Starts devices to test their performance / function - adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Investigating / recommending / requesting parts for initiating repairs (purchase requisitions).
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
• Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
• Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Complying with health and safety regulations (OSHA general duty, LOTO, & NFPA 70 (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
• Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.

Education / Experience :

CEU'S MAY BE CONSIDERED toward this requirement.

Language Ability :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Certificates and Licenses :

Forklift certification. ( Re-certification Training Provided by Toppan )

Work Schedule :

The employee must be able to work any assigned shift to meet company service demands.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
