Purpose
The Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all building systems and infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, supporting daily facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
The Role
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and safety systems.
- Support operation and maintenance of critical utilities supporting manufacturing and R&D equipment.
- Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond promptly to alarms, malfunctions, and emergencies.
- Lead and coordinate work with vendors and contractors to ensure project quality, compliance, and timely completion.
- Develop, document, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Support installation and commissioning of new facility equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and environmental, health & safety (EHS) regulations.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to the facilities team.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and work orders in CMMS systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to optimize facility uptime, energy efficiency, and cost savings.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controlsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.7+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building engineering, or related technical field.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.Experience with CMMS, and BMS systems and PLC systems is a plus.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead others.Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.Self-starting and motivated individualsAbility to lift 50 lbs. and work in various environmental conditions.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive industries.Familiarity with cleanroom or controlled environment systems.Certifications such as electrical journeyman, or equivalent trade licenses.Forklift, scissor lift and boom lift experience preferredWork Environment
