Job Summary

The Part-Time Budget Coordinator is housed in the Office of Budget and Planning within the Division of Business and Finance and reports to the Assistant Director of Budget and Planning. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Budget and Planning, this position will plan, organize, coordinate and perform a variety of complex technical and specialized functions in support of the Office of Budget and Planning.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor department email and take appropriate action
  • Prepare, document, and process budget transactions
  • Review, research, and communicate regarding budget exceptions
  • Prepare budget to actuals tracking files
  • Audit documentation for budget amendments
  • Education abroad proposal review
  • Run reports and conduct data analysis
  • Request, analyze, and maintain documents from campus partners
  • Communicate with internal and external customers timely and in a professional manner
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
  • Experience editing pdfs in Adobe
  • Proposed Salary

    18.41 / hour - 22.06 / hour

    Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Effective listening, verbal, & written communication skills
  • Working level of proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels of organization
  • Ability to present information (public speaking) online and in-person in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to switch between tasks as needed and meet competing deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
