Role Overview

As a Rotating Equipment Rebuild Mechanic, you will assemble, disassemble, inspect, and reassemble horizontal and vertical pumps and other rotating equipment. You’ll operate shop cranes and forklifts, and use precision measuring and test equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify tolerances and quality.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild large industrial pumps of various types.
• Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to plan work procedures and construct foundations and setups for pump assembly / disassembly.
• Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools to perform rebuilds safely and efficiently.
• Use M&TE (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) for detailed inspections.
• Work to precise limits and stringent accuracy standards.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and fork trucks in a busy shop environment.

Work Environment

The environmental characteristic for this position is an industrial setting with large machinery, overhead cranes, trucks and forklifts. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment.
