We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Account Manager (SSAM) to lead key customer partnerships and drive growth within our soap and personal care manufacturing business. This role is responsible for managing complex, high-value accounts while overseeing a small team of Program Managers to ensure flawless execution of customer programs.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned strategic accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities, expand product offerings, and support long-term supply agreements.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers in Purchasing, Operations, and R&D.
- Understand customer needs and challenges to deliver tailored product and service solutions.
- Directly supervise a small team of Program Managers responsible for daily account support.
- Set expectations, coach team members, and oversee performance to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure program execution accuracy-timelines, order requirements, communication, and coordination.
- Partner with R&D, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Finance to meet customer requirements.
- Communicate forecasts, product updates, and customer feedback to internal teams.
- Monitor account metrics related to sales performance, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular updates to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement across customer account processes.
