We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Host / Floor Manager to lead our front-of-house team at [Your Restaurant / Bar Name]. As the Host / Floor Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth restaurant operations, and a welcoming atmosphere. You will oversee host / hostess staff, manage reservations, and maintain the flow of the dining room.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Guest Relations :
Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Ensure prompt and courteous seating of guests.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
2. Reservation Management :
Handle reservation requests, including phone, email, and online bookings.
Maintain an organized reservation system.
Allocate tables efficiently, taking into account server sections and guest preferences.
3. Team Leadership :
Supervise and train host / hostess staff.
Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Set performance standards and provide ongoing feedback to the team.
4. Floor Management :
Monitor and manage the flow of the dining room to optimize table turnover.
Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely food delivery.
Assist with seating arrangements for large parties and special events.
5. Communication :
Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
Relay important information to servers and other front-of-house personnel.
Act as a point of contact for the restaurants management team.
6. Problem-Solving :
Address unexpected issues, such as customer complaints or staff conflicts.
Make on-the-spot decisions to enhance the guest experience.
