Job Overview
Responsible for the repairs, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's refrigeration and heat / air conditioning equipment in accordance with resort standards. Will assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies / service procedures / standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Resolve guest and resident complaints, ensuring guest and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Receive daily work assignments from Engineering Management and review priorities and special projects.
- Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
- Maintain time lines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
- Check work orders and night report for any problems. Make rounds checking these problem areas and note any information needed or safety concerns in the resort.
- Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with Housekeeping Management and Front Office.
- Maintain par stock levels of standard fixtures and other supplies.
- Operate, maintain and repair or replace of the property's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fan coils, air handlers and related system controls (thermostats, ducting, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance on all guest and resident room heating and air conditioning units.
- Maintain complete working knowledge of the latest techniques in electrical installation, maintenance, replacement or repair of refrigeration / HVAC services, fixtures, and equipment.
- Exercise safety precautions when working on equipment (use of safety signs, etc.).
- Prepare and complete any and all logs, service requests, paperwork, etc. required.
- Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to include inventories, requisition (receipt and storage), trash removal and clean up.
- Handle chemicals for designated uses / surfaces.
- Ensure security of any assigned keys.
- Initiate cost estimates of labor and materials for specific projects.
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and any follow-up actions with the Supervisor.
