A day in this role
In Jackson, TN 38305, you’ll own the journey from print to part. You’ll set up and run 3–4 axis vertical machining centers and 2–4 axis CNC lathes, interpret complex drawings, choose the right tooling, set offsets, validate first‑article quality, and keep production flowing with precision and consistency.
What you’ll do
- Configure and operate CNC equipment per specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Continuously monitor operations, making adjustments to maintain quality, cycle time, and production standards.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues to keep machines in peak condition.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders with accuracy.
- Document production counts, dimensions, and machine performance data.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline setups and improve process efficiency.
- Champion safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work area.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent; formal CNC training / certification is a plus.Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Operator.Fluency in reading mechanical prints and technical schematics.Strong knowledge of CNC programming concepts and machine operation.Skilled with precision metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).Sharp troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.Clear communicator and effective collaborator in a team environment.You should be proficient in
