The Presidio Trust is seeking a Principal Oracle Solutions Architect to join the IT Department. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Principal Oracle Solutions Architect is responsible for the strategic design, planning, and oversight of the organization’s Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 platform—currently on premises, with a planned migration to a cloud-hosted environment (e.g., EBS on OCI). This role leads enterprise architecture and solution delivery across core ERP Financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Taxes), ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing systems aligned with business goals, audit standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include leading Oracle technical enhancements, integrations, performance tuning, and infrastructure planning, as well as driving governance, documentation, and compliance practices. The position also provides day-to-day leadership for a small Oracle development team, setting standards, managing delivery, and fostering continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
The ideal candidate brings substantial financial systems experience, deep understanding of accounting processes and controls, strong team leadership skills (including day-to-day leadership of a small team of Oracle developers), and expertise in Oracle ERP development and roadmap strategy.
This is a full-time position with benefits. The starting pay range is $178,704 to $196,206 for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area, depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic design, planning and oversight for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 platform, including the development of architectural frameworks, implementation plans, and a transition roadmap from on-premise to a cloud-hosted environment, ensuring alignment with financial systems requirements and overall business objectives.
- Document and translate business requirements from Finance and other departments into secure, scalable Oracle solutions and roadmaps deliverables, ensuring traceability from business needs to technical implementation.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance for Oracle EBS enhancements, customizations, integrations, data conversions, and ongoing support, ensuring delivery of high-performance, resilience, and quality.
- Implement and enforce security and compliance standards within Oracle Financials, delivering controls documentation that supports segregation of duties (SoD), audit readiness, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to communicate strategies, project plans, status reports, risk logs, and performance metrics.
- Lead and document the evaluation, testing, and deployment of Oracle-related updates and features (R12 patching, DB lifecycle, HA / DR), ensuring each initiative demonstrates measurable business value.
- Continuously monitor Oracle system performance, delivering recommendations and executing improvements focused on scalability, reliability, and efficiency, including implemented HA / DR and backup / recovery patterns.
- Manage and document change management processes related to R12 deployments and upgrades, maintaining detailed artifacts such as architecture diagrams, runbooks, configuration workbooks, and data flows / lineage documentation to support long-term system governance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Oracle development team by assigning and prioritizing work, establishing coding and CI / CD standards tailored to R12, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. Provide coaching, mentorship, and growth plans to elevate technical and functional expertise in Financials, while managing resourcing, vendor relationships, and fostering a culture of collaboration, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises a team of up to 2 professionals, which may include external contractors.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, directives and applicable laws. Responsibilities include providing feedback, coaching, and guiding professional development of individual staff members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; authorizing time off; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and as needed, interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance / Accounting, or related field.10+ years of experience in Oracle EBS R12 architecture and development with a strong focus on Financials.OCI Architect certification or equivalent, with hands-on experience migrating R12 to OCI using EBS Cloud Manager.Deep understanding of Oracle Financials – GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Taxes, including configuration, accounting rules / SLA, and period close.Proven ability to configure and tailor Oracle EBS using AOL, QA framework personalizations, AME, workflows, flexfields and BI publisher.Understanding of accounting principles and operational workflows (P2P, O2C, R2R, asset lifecycle, bank reconciliation), with ability to align Oracle ERP solutions to business requirements.Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify risks and issues, and propose effective solutions using Oracle ERP.Proficiency configuring and customizing Oracle EBS R12 to meet specific business requirements (AOL, OA Framework personalizations, AME, Workflows, Flexfields, BI Publisher).Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring small technical teams; proven stakeholder communication and executive engagement.Experience planning and / or delivering R12 migrations to cloud-hosted environments (e.g., OCI using EBS Cloud Manager) is strongly preferred. Strong grasp of OCI architecture including VCN, Compute, Storage, Load Balancers, IAM, and cost / performance optimization strategies.Strong SQL / PLSQL development skills and experience with APIs (REST / SOAP), SOA, ODI, FBDI, and EDI integrations.Deep understanding of data governance, security and compliance (SOC 2, FedRAMP, FISMA / NIST), including RBAC, SoD, audit trails, and change management.Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring technical team, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide ERP and data strategies; adept at analyzing complex issues, driving solutions, and managing multiple priorities in high-compliance environments.Desired Qualifications
