Description
The Procurement Officer I, under the supervision of the Procurement and Contract Services Manager, provides high quality service to City departments by efficiently processing cooperative agreements and small solicitations for commodities and services.
Facilitates contract administration in accordance with City's Procurement policies and procedures.
The Procurement Officer II, under the supervision of the Procurement and Contract Services Manager, collaborates with City departments to efficiently process solicitations for commodities and services.
Facilitates contract administration; monitors and resolves issues with contract compliance in accordance with City's Procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements
Procurement Officer I
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of three years experience in business related field required
Associates Degree preferred 4. Public sector experience preferred
$37,554 - $46,883
Procurement Officer II
Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required
Minimum of three years' experience in public procurement preferred
CPPB (Certified Professional Public Buyer) certification OR NIGP-CPP certification preferred
$50,041 - $62,557
Starting pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Working knowledge of the principles, practices and methodology of procurement, accounting, negotiation, problem solving, communications, specification writing and evaluation
Working knowledge of municipal government operations, State, Federal and local laws and ordinances, rules and regulations, procedures, contracts, basic insurance requirements, services, products and supply sources
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public
Ability to organize data in the form of a chart / graph / table and present the data to assist internal departments in making decisions
