Description :

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical - Neuro.

This role includes floating to medical surgical units as needed.

A valid BLS certification is required, and ACLS and NIH certifications are preferred.

Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience.

Experience with stroke patients is essential.

We welcome first-time travelers to apply.

The night shift is 3x12-hour shifts per week.

Patient ratios are typically 5-6 at night.

The unit sees a daily census of approximately 21 patients, primarily adults.

Patient diagnoses may include strokes, seizures, head injuries, and migraines.

The unit is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Seizure and Epilepsy Certified Center.

Specialized procedures include EMU monitoring and lumbar puncture IVs.

Interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and pharmacy are available.

Candidates must be capable of managing various nursing procedures and care protocols.

Travelers are expected to float and assist as Patient Observers when necessary.

Successful candidates will exhibit flexibility and teamwork skills.
