ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark DE - 5B Medical Unit is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN).

Unit

5B is a 40-bed medical unit with semi-private rooms & private rooms. The Medical Telemetry Unit provides scheduled and emergent care / procedures on a 24-hour basis. The area is to accommodate patients who need inpatient care for a variety of treatments, diagnoses / testing including, but not limited to COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, nausea / vomiting / abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis.

The patient population cared for includes adult and geriatric patients. The conditions of patients cared for in this area can be described as fair and serious. The patients are received / transferred / admitted from home, the emergency department, and physician’s offices as well as from other units within the hospital setting.
