UHG is locally & family-owned, operating 8 restaurants in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We are founded on Italian family values and strive to save a place for everyone at our table.
Faro Uccello, Founder of UHG, opened the first Uccellos Ristorante in 1996. Since then, Uccello's has grown into 6 successful locations and has become a staple in the West Michigan community.
We didn't want to stop there... In 2016, we launched our fast-casual concept, Herb & Fire Pizzeria, and have since opened a second location.
About The Job
Our Takeout and Delivery team are responsible for ensuring that all Take Out orders are handled with care to ensure every guest enjoys their experience.
General Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
- Answering phone calls regarding in house inquiries as well as taking carry out / delivery orders.
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival whether in the restaurant or at the Delivery site.
- Engage in friendly conversation as you take care of our guests needs
- Package all carry out orders to ensure 100% accuracy
- Deliver catering and delivery orders in a timely manner.
- Help maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for our team as well as our guests.
The successful applicant will :
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
- Must possess a smartphone that includes navigation tools, and possess skills to read a map, and locate addresses within our delivery area.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop or lift to 40 pounds.
- Be able to navigate steps and rough terrain, including multi-level buildings.
- Be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Be personable, friendly, and outgoing.
Delivery Drivers are paid a solid hourly wage and take home tips daily! Parking is provided and drivers are paid additional wages for each delivery that is completed!
