Senior Civil Engineer - Renewables Projects

Position Overview : Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Renewable Energy Land Development to join a dynamic team in Texas.

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, with a focus on land development and site engineering.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute renewable energy projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the land development phase of renewable energy projects, including site selection, feasibility assessments, and land acquisition.
• Conduct thorough site evaluations, including topographic surveys, environmental assessments, and soil analyses, to identify optimal locations for renewable energy installations.
• Develop conceptual site layouts and engineering designs for solar, wind, and other renewable energy systems, considering factors such as terrain, geotechnical conditions, and project goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including landowners, regulatory agencies, and engineering consultants, to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle, from initial planning to construction and commissioning.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to renewable energy land development, and incorporate best practices into project designs and strategies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on land development and site engineering.
• Strong knowledge of land development principles, including site assessment, grading, drainage, and erosion control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS software, and other engineering design tools.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and permitting processes for renewable energy projects across the US.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California preferred.
