Summary :

The Pipeliner can work independently to repair and maintain all pipelines and appurtenances and performs work incidental to the daily operation and maintenance of pump stations and delivery facilities and is the primary responder to all one calls, normal and emergency, in the designated area. Responsible for right-of-way maintenance including line-marking as needed.

This role has an entry pay rate of $28.96 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below :

• Performs various unskilled & semi-skilled duties related to maintenance, construction, repair, and operation of pipelines, pump stations, delivery, and communications facilities, such as : clearing and maintaining right-of-way, maintaining pipeline markers, digging and backfilling ditches, laying pipe, cleaning and coating pipe, repairing leaks, product salvage and clean up, building construction, maintenance, and repair, and gauging storage tanks
• Must be able to communicate with landowners, other contractors, and utilities in a reasonable and courteous manner.
• Have a good knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools and operate with them in a safe manner.
• Must have a good knowledge of pipeline locations and the location of all mainline block valves, pump stations, and delivery sites.
• Must be able to operate and maintain a variety of fire extinguishers, respirators, and other safety equipment.
• Must have a general understanding of the automated pump station and delivery site operation to work safely around these sites and take steps to prevent unexpected valve or other equipment actuation while working on equipment such as valves, strainers, etc.
• Able to work out of doors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor in a safe manner.
• Meet Company requirements for progression through the Pipeliner step classification job family.
• Be compliant with all required training and qualifications (OQ's, CDMS, and other trainings as assigned)
• Have a valid driver's license in the state of residence to operate various classes of equipment.
