Local Team Collaboration :

  • Join our close-knit group of 12 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
  • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
  • We have a great relationship with our medical staff office; they are very efficient and helpful during the privileging process. We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.

Qualifications :

  • Board-certified or board-eligible physician assistant.
  • Hospitalist experience preferred; Hospitalist training required
  • Practice in the Hearth of the Community

    Flexible Scheduling :

  • Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
  • Shifts for the day position are scheduled from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM; Night schedule is 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we're out. We all have a common goal and help each other by switching shifts if someone needs a day off on their scheduled work week.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • As a Day clinician, your responsibility will encompass rounding on approximately fourteen patients per shift and discharging when appropriate, while our night clinician will perform 3 admissions in addition to cross coverage.
  • The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24 / 7. So, procedures or codes are not required.
  • We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
  • We use EPIC EMR and have access to our internal informatics platform.

  • Compensation : The base salary for days is $140k-$150k, and for nights, it is $170k with a generous commencement bonus.
