This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.

ACE develops next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably. The Space Resources Program encompasses multiple projects; in this role, you will contribute across the portfolio, including the current Blue Alchemist effort and future initiatives. We're dedicated to developing and demonstrating Prospecting and In Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) technologies for the Moon, Mars, and beyond. In this hands-on role, you will work in a fully in-person capacity at our Luxembourg site. You will serve as a Planetary Scientist, executing end-to-end science data processing pipelines; generating and quality-controlling maps and higher-level products; and contributing to geologic / resource assessment models. You will own science product generation, quality and acceptance metrics, and reproducibility practices; integrate calibration datasets with instrument and geochemistry teams; support mission operations from downlink through quicklook and final product generation; and prepare compliant public data releases with stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with the Mission Scientist, Sr. Geochemist, Software, Systems, Instruments, and stakeholders to deliver validated, auditable science outputs that inform mission decisions and amplify community impact.

Conditions of Employment :

Offer and start are contingent upon contract award / funding and required internal approvals. If the contract is not awarded, the role may be paused or canceled.

Location and Travel :

Location and Travel : Fully in-person role based at our Luxembourg site; the position begins in the US with relocation to Luxembourg within one year; periodic domestic and international travel expected; candidate must be willing and eligible to work internationally; weekly teleconferences with the OASIS-1 team in Los Angeles occur between 6 : 00-7 : 00 PM (Luxembourg time).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Science product execution and quality

Execute L0-L3 science data pipelines per specifications; implement QC metrics and reproducibility practices; maintain version-controlled archives and metadata.

Run end-to-end pipelines for instrument raw data to processed maps.

Ingest downlinked data; generate quicklook and final products; produce and update planetary maps; investigate anomalies and reprocess as needed.

Execute validation and uncertainty methods (statistical inference, Monte Carlo, geostatistics) using lab / field / heritage datasets.

Ingest final calibration datasets; update pipeline coefficients / parameters; participate in Science / Calibration reviews and field tests with instrument and geochemistry teams.

Prepare compliant public data and public pipeline packages with stakeholders; ensure embargo / IP / export screening and reproducibility; align with public release timing.

Contribute science content at SRR / PDR / CDR and operations gates; maintain CM discipline and audit ready records per PA / QA guidance.

Collaborate with the Mission Scientist, Sr. Geochemist, Software, Systems, Instruments, and stakeholders / academic partners; support mission decisions and community engagement.

Required for certain Job Profiles : Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
