Job DescriptionJob DescriptionØ Monitor and maintain records of daily operating plant process conditions to identify opportunities and implement improvements for safety, productivity, quality, and cost.Ø Investigate safety, process safety, and environmental incidents and near misses. Implement countermeasures.Ø Maintain a detailed downtime database and lead improvements.Ø Troubleshoot process and equipment performance.Ø Lead and / or participate on problem solving teams as requested.Ø Plan and conduct trials for the purpose of obtaining information useful to increasing production rates and / or improving quality and yield. Follow the procedure for conducting plant trials and use the Plant Trial form when applicable. Ø Use SPC tools to enhance process problem solving.Ø Write operating procedures, control narratives and conduct training of personnel when needed or requested.Ø Develop a functional knowledge of the digital control systems to sufficiently troubleshoot the process.Ø Train personnel on the process computer and process as requested.Ø Assist the SHE Department in the preparation of environmental reports when requested by the Production Manager.Ø Prepare monthly progress reports to the Production Manager which include comparisons and analysis of production results versus budget targets for his / her area of responsibility.Ø Perform Process Safety Management task as requested such as updating P&IDs, completing PSSRs, updating process safety information (PSI) records, and participating on HAZOP teams. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS v BS Chemical Engineeringv 3-7 years of chemical industry experience in a PSM covered facility.
