Billing and Collections Specialist (Construction Industry)

Position Title : Billing / Collections Specialist

Location : On-site – Santa Ana, CA

Pay Rate :  $30 / hr. - $33 / hr.

Hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Job Type : Contract-Hire

Summary :

We are seeking a Billing / Collections Specialist for a contract - hire assignment  This is a critical role supporting the accurate and timely billing of services, resolving invoicing discrepancies, and managing account collections.

Key Responsibilities :

Generate and issue accurate, timely invoices for assigned customer accounts

Research and resolve billing discrepancies and questions

Review and verify billing procedures, contracts, and customer terms

Monitor Accounts Receivable and follow up on outstanding payments

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and field teams

Maintain professional communication with customers regarding billing issues

Assist with lien waivers, contract documentation, and collections-related reporting

Required Experience & Skills :

3–5 years of billing and AR experience preferred

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

Proficiency with Microsoft Office , especially Excel

Experience with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 , Great Plains , Salesforce , TCR, Sage

Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to work independently
