Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

General Med / Tele skillset, including stroke experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Experience with trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, and drain / tube management.

Foley insertion and management.

Medication administration for cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, and IV fluids.

Description :

We are seeking an RN with experience in MedSurg / Tele.

The facility is a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital.

It is Magnet designated and operates a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.

The unit has 24 beds and typically maintains RN patient ratios of 1 : 5-6.

Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders, liver failure, and Acute Kidney Injury / Chronic Kidney Disease.

The nurse will work alongside a supportive team, including CNAs, Charge Nurses, Hospitalists, and Intensivists, available 24 / 7.

Nurses will be responsible for telemetry monitoring and must read and respond to monitors as there are no monitoring techs.

Required technology includes EMR and IV pump systems.

The role may require floating to other facilities within the region based on patient care needs.

Traveling time between facilities will be compensated if floating mid-shift.

Weekend rotations are every other weekend, and travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.

Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays, with additional time added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Scrub color required is navy.
