Head Start - Data Coordinator

Under the direction of the Head Start Director, the Data Coordinator is responsible for managing Head Start data collection systems. The Data Coordinator will work with the Head Start Leadership team to develop policies and procedures to ensure proper collection of child and family data, provide oversight of all data collection systems used by the program, monitor users, and work with internal and external entities to troubleshoot and analyze problems / issues relating to system software. The Data Coordinator will also work with managers to ensure the monthly reporting of aggregate child and family data and ensure all systems comply with legal, confidentiality, and Personal Identifying Information (PII) data requirements.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Coordinate the annual setup and configuration of all databases (Child Plus, Learning Genie, DataSay, and others).
- Work with the data team to troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of data system problems supporting Head Start operations.
- Input program data into the Office of Head Start Enterprise system, including Monthly Enrollment, facility information, and program reports.
- Input program data into the California Department of Education reporting system, including monthly attendance reports, quarterly child assessment data, and other annual reports.
- Supervise the data team in onsite routine services, including following up on daily client issues and other support duties as directed by management.
Education
BA Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.At least five years of related work experience and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Experience
Minimum of five years supporting IT systems that employ Microsoft technology.Experience with hardware issues and setup is desired.Experience overseeing data systems or computer data collection systems.Supervisory experience and familiarity with Head Start data collection systems are strongly desired.Special Requirements
Valid California drivers license, use of a motor vehicle, and proof of automobile liability insurance.Must meet State health requirements, including passing a physical exam and providing TB clearance.Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.Fingerprints on file with the Justice Department.Official transcripts required before interview.Benefits
