Must-Have :

• Utilization of AIDET and hourly rounding are required for this unit.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Previous experience with McKesson charting system required.

Description :

This position involves bedside shift reporting and adherence to unit protocols.

The nurse will work a schedule that includes 4 twelve-hour night shifts.

On-call duties may be required as needed.

The unit averages 325 deliveries per year.

The patient ratio is expected to be 3 patients per nurse.

Candidates should have experience with care management in labor and delivery.

The unit follows AWHONN guidelines.

Skills required include administration of medications, fetal monitoring, and support during labor and delivery.

Additional skills include assisting with cesarean sections and postpartum care.

The role includes patient and family education regarding prenatal and postpartum care.

An understanding of applicable medical technologies is essential for this position.

Candidates will be expected to float within the hospital as necessary.
