Barclays is looking for a dynamic and passionate Vice President to join our Technology M&A Investment Banking team. This is a unique opportunity for you to work at the forefront of innovation, advising high‑growth technology companies on strategic transactions that shape the industry. In this role, you will support company valuations, strategic advisory, and deal execution for both debt and equity offerings. Develop and present financial models and conduct industry research to inform and guide client strategies. Collaborate with internal teams across functions to ensure seamless transaction execution and deliver exceptional client service with speed, precision, and insight.

Qualifications

  • Mergers and acquisitions experience in technology.
  • Developing and maintaining ample relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.
  • Generating ideas and identifying opportunities that expand the bank's client base.
  • Execution of debt and equity offerings.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and presentation development.
  • Experience in investment banking with a considerable focus on technology M&A.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of corporate and partnership in the technology industry.
  • Good team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • This role is located in San Francisco, CA.

    This role is regulated by FINRA.

    Minimum Salary : $250,000

    Maximum Salary : $275,000

    Purpose of the role

    To provide strategic, valuation analysis, negotiation and deal structuring support on public and private mergers, acquisitions, spin‑offs, divestitures and identify, evaluate, and execute on potential deals.

    Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with Coverage and Capital Markets groups, as well as cross‑functional teams, including legal, compliance, and other stakeholders, to originate and execute successful M&A transactions.
  • Conducting in‑depth financial analysis, modeling and valuation to assess potential M&A opportunities, risks and mitigation action.
  • Structuring the deal and negotiating terms, collaborating with legal and financial colleagues to ensure that the deal is fair from a financial point of view.
  • Coordination of client’s due diligence processes, including tax, legal, financial, and operational assessments of potential target companies.
  • Management of various aspects of M&A transactions, ensuring they progress efficiently and meet client expectations.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross‑functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization functions to contribute to achieving the business goals.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to stay aligned with business activity and strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
