Job Description : As a Specialist, Power Supply Design Engineer, you will have primary engineering responsibility for electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout for low voltage switching power supply solutions. You will design power supply circuitry utilizing Power Factor Correction, Forward, Boost, Buck, and SEPIC topologies with output power ranges of 10W - 150W. You will also engage in all phases of product development, including concept, architecture, design, and test.

Essential Functions :

• Take responsibility for electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout
• Provide technical responsibility for schedule, cost, at the board or subsystem level
• Support power designs for all circuit card assemblies (Digital, Power, RF, misc. CCAs)
• Design and specify magnetic components
• Electrical design integration at the board or subsystem level
• Simulate, breadboard, test and troubleshoot analog and power conversion circuits and subsystems
• Identify high risk circuits functions to simulate and prototype / breadboard before creation of full design
• Develop test plans and procedures for power subsystems and all relevant documentation for design description and requirements
• Participate and present in peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews
• Participate in risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies
• Interface with interdisciplinary design teams and reviews
• Learn and follow company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc.
