Duties / Responsibilities :

Fulfills routine duties related to the efficient operation of the three lab facilities : the main lab, the hood lab, and the fish lab, including purchasing chemicals and supplies, maintaining equipment, instrument, and sample tools, and update safety related documents.

Position Summary :

The technician would help with a variety of both laboratory and field tasks related to research on the biogeochemistry, bioavailability, and bioaccumulation of metals in ecosystems. Specific tasks would include field collection of samples, laboratory processing of samples for chemical analysis, assisting with current students’ experiments, and routine duties related to the efficient operation of our laboratory facilities. The position is full-time with flexibility in work hours.
